Very helpful staff and delicious food. Homemade biscuits and fresh milk in the bedroom were a definite plus. The owner was also very helpful in identifying walks we could take with our young child.

Excellent staff, location, rooms, decor, menu, service, hospitality . A good place for a little rest and relaxation . The little extra touches in the rooms were appreciated .

Welcoming staff, comfortable room and very good breakfasts. The countryside location was very peaceful and yet has easy access to the Dales towns and villages.

Location, friendliness, immaculate interiors / building / gardens. A real Gem and if we ever decide to visit the Dales again we shall not hesitate to book again. The restaurant service and presentation was spotless.

The food itself was good but not on a par with its presentation: the fish a little underkooked and the venison slightly on the hard side. But that is being really picky - it was reasonably priced and very enjoyable, and we would eat there again!

The hotel is in a beautiful and quiet location but close to many good pubs and restaurants. The staff were excellent. They were friendly and efficient. They offered assistance and any minor problems were soon sorted out. They even provided us with a map of the area after I had left mine at home. The room which we had, Dale Head, was spacious with good facilities, very comfortable beds and on the first floor. We had a good supply of quality beverages and biscuits which were topped up daily. The bathroom products were again of high quality. There was good parking in the hotel grounds. The breakfasts were excellent with a wide choice of items including fresh fruit and a wonderful apricot compote. The "Full English" was cooked to perfection on all three mornings of our stay.

My only complaint is that the first room we were firstoffered was small and up a few flights of stairs but we were given another one when I pointed out that this did not fit the description on our booking form and said that we were staying for three nights. We didn't have dinner in the restaurant which, considering the quality of the breakfast, is a regret rather than a complaint.

Quiet, relaxing, peaceful location, pleasant staff, beautiful food with generous portions of meat, big comfy bed, hotel ideally positioned for local walks but you would need transport if you wanted to venture out to neighbouring areas....Lovely garden area outside, lovely breakfast choice, have never eaten so much fish...great start to the day prior to a good hike!

Wish I'd booked sun/mon/tue as would have been a little cheaper than paying for the saturday night rate...apart from that, I think you pay for what you get....would come back in the future...

The relaxing lounges and tastefully decorated bedrooms.

No dvd player as standard in the room.

The suite we had for 2 nights was excellent. Door leading to outside gardens was very picturesque and serene.Staff friendly and helpful. A real good choice at breakfast time and the resturant although rather 'cosy' served excellent food which we thought was quite reasonably priced. An enjoyable stay!

Overall a fantastic stay thanks. We had our labradoodle dog with us and he was made to feel very welcome. he was allowed in all the public lounge areas, which were lovely. Had a brilliant meal in restaurant and breakfast was great too - even had homemade bread! All the staff were helpful and polite and professional. Homemade cookies and milk delivered to the room were nice touches.
